Here at Kurorte, we are Foodies. We believe food is a creative experience and one of life's greatest pleasures!

As the founder of Kurorte Art & Wellness Retreats, one of my main inspirations for creating these environments is to share my knowledge of health, fitness, nutrition and inner well-being.
I love food, and at the same time I love to feel calm, centered, energized and have a fit body. We can have it all!
Ayurvedic Cleanse Menu: is created by our new Chef, Lauren Grbich who has a degree in culinary arts and food science. Lauren loves to nurture others through her culinary creations. Her open hearted spirit is her special added ingredient! Lauren uses anti-oxidant nutrient rich organic foods in here cuisine. As with our regular menu, you will learn how each dish and treatment effects your physical body, mind, and emotional body. Your Ayurvedic Cleanse is a simple gluten free, sugar free, and dairy free plan designed to reduce inflammation, jump-start your metabolism, relax your digestive system, reset your palette, increase mind clarity and even loose excess unwanted weight. Toxins stored in liver and fat cells will be released in this cleanse.-- Everyday, you will be offered delicious detoxifying main dishes along with soups, potassium broths, porridges, a variety of teas, and special Indian spiced smoothies that you'll almost want to bathe in!
Regular Retreat Menu: is selected by both our chef, Vickie Weatherly, and Laurie. Vickie not only applies her culinary talents to everything she creates, but she also pours her heart and soul into her creations, and you can feel it! If you have any special requests, Vickie will be there for you!
You will learn how each dish and its ingredients effects your metabolism and keeps it running optimally. Throughout the day, we will serve alkalizing drinks, and California Hot Springs alkalizing 9.3 pH spring water.
I promise you will not even know you are on a food plan. You will eat and enjoy! To your surprise you will loose weight.... everyone does!
The focus is more on healthful living and inner connection than on loosing weight, but if you want to shed a few pounds to reach your optimal weight, you can do it healthily on your "In Your Body LifeStyle Plan".
If you're trying to kick a "sugar habit", our menu of nutrient rich foods will aid you in this process without experiencing any adverse physical discomfort.
When you take pleasure in the food that you eat, you actually work with nature to speed the metabolism by triggering the adrenals to produce endorphins, the feel good brain messengers to stimulate the brain to produce serotonin, a mood elevating brain hormone that in turn stimulates the thyroid to produce the fat burning hormone -T3. — talk about a chain reaction!
